The education of dozens of children of evangelists is underwritten by Logos Vision, including financial scholarships awarded for higher education in trade schools and Bible schools. In addition, children’s school uniforms and school notebooks are supplied for poor village slum and tribal children by Logos Vision.
Hannah School
In 2007, Hannah Preschool, an English Medium School, was established in Thagarakuppam Village serving 25 children. Today Hannah School serves over 100 children up to 3rd grade with 4 teachers and continues to grow. A new school administrator was hired this year.
Computer Center
Logos Computer Training School was established in Thagarakuppam Village in 2008 and new computers were installed in 2010. Neighboring village children come to learn computer after school.
Street Kids
Logos Vision partners with three street kids ministries. Many of these homeless children are saved from drugs and prostitution through these programs.
Logos care, a ministry of compassion, was launched on February 15, 2023, after much prayer. The ministry employs two staff members to help care for the surrounding villages by visiting shut-in elderly and attending to their physical needs, providing medical help, home BP and blood sugar checkups, and nutrition advice, and sharing the love of God through compassionate caring. Additionally, they have started an after-school free tuition program for neighborhood children that also provides evening snacks. The public health department has provided medicine for school children against parasitic worm infestations, and Logos care encourages parents to take advantage of such help. The ministry also calls parents to encourage them to take their children to free public health centers for yearly medical checkups and emphasizes the importance of childhood immunizations, hearing and vision tests before starting school. Logos care helps in basic needs such as shelter, food, and clothing, and through these means, the Gospel is propagated and people see God’s love in action. The ministry is free and goes to the needy people. The summary ends by requesting prayer for Logos care.
Throughout the year Bibles in various languages are purchased and distributed in areas of need. New believers are given a Bible when they are baptized.
Logos Vision has 2 nurses doing medical ministry in villages in two states, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Many healings and miracles have taken place. In 2010-2011, 20 people have taken baptism through the medical ministry. Many others have accepted Jesus as their saviour but are hesitant to take public baptism, fearing persecution and death. The evangelists that accompany the nurses continue to encourage minister to these new converts through home visits.
Logos Visions provides financial assistance to pastors and evangelists to feed the poor in the areas in which they work during Sundays and other special holidays.
Two more churches are on schedule to be finished and dedicated this year, bring the total to 17 church plants in 17 years.
More than 80 evangelists receive financial support through Logos Vision. The annual Thanksgiving retreat has been the means of getting to know what is going on in the various evangelists’ walk first hand and seeing them as a family face to face.
Tailoring
All uniforms donated by Logos Vision are stitched in Thagarakuppam by women attending our own tailoring school. Sewing machines are also purchased and given to pastors and evangelists to start tailoring classes for uneducated women so they can learn a trade and find decent jobs.
Widows
Thousands of sarees are bought and distributed as gifts to widows during the Christmas season through the various pastors and evangelists of Logos Vision.
Leprosy and HIV
Logos Vision partners with Christian workers who have ministries among lepers and HIV infected people. Many come to Christ before dying. Caring for children with parents with leprosy and HIV is another ministry supported by Logos Vision.
